British Farming Awards 2016

What a fantastic evening to celebrate the British farming industry!

The room was fit to burst with 650 farmers and industry professionals attending the event. With 15 categories up for grabs, the competition was nail biting, and the atmosphere breath-taking with endless amounts of support for each category.

Group editor Emma Penny hosted the night, huge congratulations to everyone who won! A few highlights were The Cumbrian Flood Recovery Group winning the Outstanding Contribution award for their commitment, hard work and time spent to help those in serious conditions through the disastrous floods in Cumbria.

Lord Don Curry received Farming Hero Award for his lifetime achievement, continuous hard work and life changing decisions to support British Farming through some of its most challenging periods.

Huge congratulations to all the Marts the Hearts winners who accepted their awards last night. Auction marts and those who play a role within the farming and rural community are a vital part of the industry, and the response they received on the night showed how much they contribute to British farming.

Overall this was an outstanding night to celebrate farming in the UK! I’m sure you would all agree this is an amazing industry to be a part of with success and achievement across a variety of sectors.

If you want to join me in the celebrations next year... Just let me know!
